Radioactive material must be stored safely. De Raat safety cabinets are fire-resistant tested according to standard EN 14470-1 type 90 (90 minutes). This makes them fire-resistant and helps minimise risks in the event of an emergency.

The safety cabinets are made of electrogalvanised stainless steel, coated with lead that can vary from 2 mm to 5 mm. The door closes automatically when the temperature reaches 50 °C or higher. The ventilation holes with certified fire dampers close automatically when the temperature rises above 70 °C.

· The cabinet is made of stainless steel type AISI304
· Fitted with a cylinder lock (incl. 2 keys)
· With insulated, thermally expanding seals of 30 mm that ensure a perfect seal in the event of a calamity according to EN 14470-1
·Interior finished with melamine and 2 mm or 5 mm lead panels
· Equipped with 3 shelves and 1 collection tray with grid
·The shelves are fire-tested
· Equipped with warning labels according to ISO 3864
